Powerful Old Skull Rack Agiba - Papuan Gulf New Guinea 1960's This striking skull rack agiba was collected by Peter J Eddowes in the Papuan Gulf of New Guinea. Peter worked in PNG from 1961 onwards and was the Officer in Charge of Wood Utilisation and Marketing at the Papua New Guinea Forest Products Research Centre from 1965-1981. During this time he amassed a substantial of Gulf art. This piece is carved from hardwood and has been decorated with natural earth pigments. It measures 71cm x 26cm.
